Sorry for the sad picture, but I came across an article that, although a long read, is really worth the time. Just wanted to pass it along: Plastic Ocean
This blog was started many years ago. The babies have grown up! Enjoy reading both the archives and new thoughts for living lightly and intentionally.

That really makes me sad (but that's good). I will think about this the next time I debate about whether to buy a product in plastic or glass.
Thanks Sarah!
That is a good article, I meant to post it awhile back when I read it. So I'm glad you did. Reminds me of another thing I like about Community Market- their juice section is about 90% glass.
Also reminds me of an NPR article (I think it was, but I just looked through my emails and couldn't find it) that Emily sent awhile back about how using disposables was a learned behavior (which I never really thought about, but found very interesting), and ever since we caught on to the wonders of disposable items (mostly plastic), our waste (of course) has just gotten out of control.
I posted where I got that info on plastic you mentioned Jennifer on the blog today.
CBS Sunday Morning (GREAT SHOW!)
