Welcome Visitors!
If you're reading for the first time, it may feel a bit like you've just walked into a conversation that has been going on for awhile.
So to catch you up...
Jennifer started this blog because she was going through the process of becoming more conscious of her lifestyle choices and had decided to "go green". As she talked to her friends she quickly realized that she was not the only one interested in making changes. The blog was born. We used this as a place to discuss things we've tried and to support each other in the journey.

I bought the Avalon Organics brand and find it a little thick and cakey. Is the Aubrey kind better?
Oh, I was also going to say I just read an article on sunscreen and they say the unnatural sunscreens are absorbed into your system and secreted in your urine. (Whereas the natural is just a barrier on your skin and washes off.) But anyway, kinda gross!
Wow, that is kinda gross. I am still using up some spray stuff from last summer but then I want to get some good stuff. I really prefer spray bottles cause of how much the kids hate the rub in stuff. I saw one on Ideal Bite that was kind of expensive, anyone have any experience with Lavera Family Sun Spray SPF 15? I do want something with a higher SPF though... Something to research.
I have also always heard you don't want to use last year's stash. It loses its potency. So, you might as well go ahead and buy the new stuff! I like the spray stuff as well. Avery tolerates the application better. I bought new Neutrogena and Coppertone this spring, so I will go ahead and use those up this season and hopefully by then I'll have enough info (from all of you!) to know what to buy next year.
And, yeah, that is gross... but explains the need to keep reapplying. (and not just from rubbing off)
