Easter Time

Avery received an Easter basket in the mail today. The "grass" inside got me thinking. All that shredded plastic is such a waste (no matter how you look at it). Anyway, for any of you planning to create baskets this year, maybe rafia (sp?) would be a better alternative? It's natural, so I would imagine more biodegradable, too. It would also create a more realistic nest for all those eggs!

Great idea Sarah. I think I will actually do that this year. I am doing "Easter Lunch Boxes" instead of baskets. Jonny loves packing snack packs before every single errand we run... never know when he'll be hungry. And Ellie can always use another place to stash an extra bottle. Raffia seems like a good alternative to the plastic "grass", to put inside. Thanks!

Welcome Visitors!

If you're reading for the first time, it may feel a bit like you've just walked into a conversation that has been going on for awhile.

So to catch you up...

Jennifer started this blog because she was going through the process of becoming more conscious of her lifestyle choices and had decided to "go green". As she talked to her friends she quickly realized that she was not the only one interested in making changes. The blog was born. We used this as a place to discuss things we've tried and to support each other in the journey.
