The Great Diaper Challenge

Well I mean this in 2 ways...

1) What a challenge it is to decide on what cloth diaper system to try! You can check out the links I added, whenever I got a free moment today I've been seeing what's out there.

2) I was thinking, maybe, we could each (me, Erica, Sarah, and anyone else who wants to join in) try something new for a month and then report back. I've decided to try a diaper service.

Anyone up for the challenge? :)

I'm in! I'll try gdiapers for a month! I have to talk to Matt about it (since we are a team and all) but I'm sure he'll be okay with it. Let's talk more tomorrow!

Hi greenmommy, think I finally figured out how to post a comment on your blog. If this works I'll add comments later. I'm so proud you're doing this. And hopefully our years of successes and failures will help

Oh my gosh, is that your mom?

One more thing, if you haven't figured out a cloth service you want yet, a good way to get opinions is searching on parenting forums. One that I read all the time is the parenting forum on craigslist. Just click search on the top of the forum and it usually can bring up a lot of threads from other moms out there. Just an idea you may or may not know about...

It's Calvin's Mom, are you blushing about that earlier comment Erica?! You know this blog could really take off and who knows, maybe your mom will start reading!

I can't wait to hear Mary's input. She's not just a wannabe hippie like us, she's the real thing! I love you Mom! :)

I just love the greenishgranny name :) I actually didn't think of my comment 'til you wrote that!!! About a half hour after I wrote it yesterday, I realized more than just you and Sarah will end up seeing it (I don't know why it took me that long!) Oh well...

Great Challenge! Unfortunately unless the chlorine free ones count as something new then I can't really participate. I am really proud of you guys though! I will do my part by supporting you two :) I just don't have the moola or sanity to do cloth, to be honest. I will have to remain "light green" on this one.

PS My friend across the street uses Tiddee Diddee, the truck comes every week. So if you have any ?'s I can totally ask for you :) She has cloth for her 2 year old and newborn...

Welcome Visitors!

If you're reading for the first time, it may feel a bit like you've just walked into a conversation that has been going on for awhile.

So to catch you up...

Jennifer started this blog because she was going through the process of becoming more conscious of her lifestyle choices and had decided to "go green". As she talked to her friends she quickly realized that she was not the only one interested in making changes. The blog was born. We used this as a place to discuss things we've tried and to support each other in the journey.
